Cashew Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 Chicken Breasts
  • 3 Bell peppers (any colors)
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 cup Cashews Optional, but definitely a plus
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce (Kikkoman)
  • 6 tbsp Water
  • 1 tbsp Baking soda
  • 1 tbsp Corn starch White flour is okay
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp MSG

Preparation

Put the chicken in a mixing bowl with all the non-veggie ingredients (baking soda, sesame oil, garlic, soy sauce, MSG and water). Mix thoroughly to coat all the chicken pieces and set aside.

Cut the belle peppers and onions into thin slices.

Cook the onions for a minute in a pan just to start them off (use a bit of veggie or sesame oil as needed). Then add the bell peppers and cachews and cook well. Set aside.

soda batter for at least a few minutes. Add a bit of oil and/or water, before or during cooking, if it helps.

When chicken is almost well done, add the veggies to the pan and finish cooking. Serve when hot, recommended with a nice jasmine rice or some Chinese egg or wheat noodles.
